What does it mean to have doors
To have them locked up, thinking
we’re safe from the evils of the world
To have them open up, hoping
that we won’t be demeaned by words.
Them that create insiders and outsiders,
what is behind them when closed
that can’t keep away them from the wolf?
Why do we have all of them barriers
that we need to leave and enter?
Right here, right now, I will go
without having to stir, turn knobs
nor cross borders at all
With feet firmly planted to the floor
the stars will be taken hold of;
no thresholds to storm, only the
raising of the curtains of the eyes
for the soul is ready to abscond.
