Little Miss Homo Sapien's Cave

Tryst

Getting away
The child made
Herself a friend
To the crossroads,
Dusts rising
In the wake of her
Footprints engraving
On the tracks
On her way
To growing up,
To going up
Where
She has always
Seen herself
As a grown-up
On top of a
Mystical hill.
Later, in her
Memory, she was
Pushed off a cliff
By the slightest
Wind that hummed
From the deepest
Recesses of her fears.
On the way back
She’d stretch her
Arm out of the
Half-open window
Of her dad’s car, her
Hand making these
Slow wave motions
Against the backdrop
Of speeding sceneries
Now secured in the past.
A sleight of hand,
Almost like flailing
A wand.
She took in
The breath of
The ancestral music,
And surrendered her
Purity to the
Lust of wonder.
She then just
Kept the revelations
To herself, a
True child told
Of magic secrets
Who, with now the
Knowledge of how
To make the rabbit
In the hat disappear,
Turned away
With a bold stroke
Of smile painted
On her lips.
