Picking up the shells/

I guess a haiku is successful if it evokes a mental and emotional image in a person’s head when they read it. I saw myself on the beach picking up shells under the warm summer sun the second I read this one, so I really like it!!

I’m glad you like it. This haiku came to me while slipping in and out of sleep. Guess that’s how I badly want to go to the beach and pick up shells:)

Before falling asleep and right after waking up (also when you have insomnia, I guess) are the best moments for creativity to strike. No doubt I like your haiku!

I really like your haiku – it evokes the image of the beach and sea so clearly! 🙂
