Little Miss Homo Sapien's Cave

all the way

to the depths

defying the strong

ebbs and currents

for that piece of

elusive dream

which reality

could only wish

to be in touch with.

How else to express

the hankering

to be freed, for

the mountain to move

but to surrender

not to fate but will?

A jellyfish drifting by,

translucent beauty

like my child-like curiosities

pulsating and glowing,

like a starlight

suspending my breath

like a supernova now

around my breadth.

A brush to my skin

would mean my death

yet for the endless possibilities

I will risk

I will take it away from

the snare of your grip

to drown in the poison

of the unknown,

there’s got to be more

to the surface

of the waters.

  2. It took me many years of pain and sorrow to learn that I needed to stop fighting life. I needed to just let go. This reminds me of that only you’ve said it much more poetically.

  3. A very nice piece. Your allusion to the jellyfish and the child I found utterly enchanting – it conjured many memories. Thank you for your recent posts.
